Mont Rose - Amazing Optional Gay Clothing Beach in France
France
Would you like to know how gay is Marseille? or is any gay beach in Marseille or nearby?
Well, this page is perfect for answering your curiosity about gay holidays, nude beaches, and nightlife in Marseille!
If you manage to remember your swimming goggles, Mont Rose Beach is home to a variety of little, cute fish that you can swim with in the deep waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Their spectacular multi-colours will create an even gayer experience on your gay holidays.
At Mont Rose Beach, you can say goodbye to those pesky tan lines since you can lie in the sun completely naked. So, don’t be shy, a lot of men around you would feel comfortable enough to do the same. The sights of boats and yachts at this gay beach are magnificent views filled with life and excitement. They add another picturesque view of the fabulous landscape. While you’re lying down in the smooth sand, just listen to the calming waves that will transform your gay holiday into an extraordinary experience filled with energies of peace, love, and freedom.
If you’re interested in a little adventure, consider taking a stroll in the forest above the rocky cliffs. It is also known as the beach’s cruising area, so you might meet a few guys there looking for quick fun under the trees. It’s, also, a great place to socialize and make new friendships for a night out in Marseille. I would suggest you do get to know the locals or other tourists because they may take you to one of the fantastic gay bars or gay saunas in town.
One of the best things I witnessed on this gay beach is the sunset. Imagine lying on the sand with a beer in your hand and the orange tint of the setting sun creating a romantic and exciting atmosphere.
Make sure you always have your sunscreen on you. Since this is, kind of, a rocky beach, make sure you have some shoes. Whether you are into sneakers or boots, keep something with you to protect your feet. Bring your own drinks, water, and food since this isolated gay beach is far from any store or restaurant.
Mont Rose can be a great gay destination filled with sunny vibes. If you like, you can even spend a few days there since it is extremely accessible.
I hope you have a wonderful gay time!

Hotels
The gay beach is at the end of Marseille city. It is well-isolated between a rocky landscape and is far from any nearby town or residential area. Because of this, you are not going to find accommodations that are in close proximity, but you can definitely find something in Marseille. However, there are no gay hotels that cater to gay men only, but since this city is a popular gay destination, you can find an abundance of gay-friendly hotels.
You can check out the link below for amazing alternatives to gay hotels:
You don’t have to worry about feeling unsafe in France. The government recognizes that our LGBTQIA+ community deserve decent human rights and has made gay marriage legal in the country. This means you can be comfortable in your own skin and feel the freedom to express your identity.

Bars/Clubs/Saunas
My fellow gay community, please keep in mind that this nude gay beach is far from any shops, bars, clubs, or restaurants. So, don’t forget to pack a bag with your own drinks and snacks before you head out.
Marseille’s nightlife is a bit more quieted down than other gay destinations, but you still have great options in some of the gay bars that are located in the city. The overall vibes, atmosphere, and lovely gay boys that you will meet, put Marseille on the map as a great gay destination for your trip.
Keep reading to see some of the gay bars and gay saunas that will add a little more zest and excitement in this gorgeous gay city.
Check out some of the places below for a great time:
1. Le Pulse
In my experience, I would label this bar as more “gay-friendly” than it is a gay bar. Though, I would still recommend it as one of the best options for an exciting night out.
2. L'Endroit
When you head to the Old Port area of Marseille, this gay bar will give you that great vibe that you were, probably, dying for in France. It may be a small bar, but the staff make up for it by a lot. Unfortunately, there is no website for L’Endroit, but take my word for it and give it a visit.
Have a great time!
Transport
If you’re living for a sunny, gay destination, then Mont Rose is the place to be. The gay nude beach is something to write home about and a place that should be on your bucket list. Even if you are there for a few days, its accessibility makes it easy to spend the day in.
The nearest airport to the gay beach is Marseille Provence, which is about 27km from Marseille City. To reach Mont Rose, follow my instructions below so you don’t get lost:
- Take the number 19 bus from Marseille to Mont Rose Beach. It will take you around 35 minutes. There is a 5-to-10-minute walk after that, but the walk in the gorgeous scenery will make it very easy for you and your gay comrades.
- You can reach the number 19 bus by the taking the metro. More specifically, the red line (M2) station called Station Rond-Point du Prado. There is a 2-to-3-minute walk from the Metro Station to the bus station so you could catch the bus.
To reach Marseille
- Marseille is a wonderful gay city that you need to add to your list of gay destinations. There is an international airport called Marseille Provence Airport or Aéroport de Marseille Provence, which is very accessible from many countries, both in Europe and internationally.
- Once you get to the airport, you can get to the city by bus or by train and it may take you around 45 minutes to get to the center.
- A taxi will cost you much more so I recommend avoiding that.
- Marseille has an impressive network of train connections with other cities. If you and your travel companions want to explore more of France’s gay spots, take advantage of the trains and get adventurous!
