Praga - Celebre per la birra - ma può offrire molto di più ai viaggiatori gay

Repubblica Ceca

Even though Eastern Europe is not extremely well-known for being on the liberal side of the scale, Czech Republic has made some great strides when it comes to protections for the LGBTQIA+ community. Homosexuality was decriminalized in 1962 and civil unions between same-sex couples are a popular thing in the country. There are laws protecting gay people from discrimination which should make you feel safe and secure during your gay holidays.

Personally, I’ve noticed tons of gay travellers who come to Prague for the vibrant culture, cuisine, and medieval-style architecture. Being the largest city in the country, it is perfect for those gay travellers who are looking for incredible city-breaks to experience a place filled with history. You can easily explore the city on foot and visit Prague Castle and Old Town Square. Everything is very close to each other so you can comfortably walk to Charles Bridge, the Old Town Hall, and Astronomical Clock Tower. You will absolutely love the architecture taking on a gothic theme with tons of places to tug at your heartstrings.

The gayest neighbourhood I would recommend you to go to is Vinohrady. It is the center of gay life in Prague and is decorated with rainbow flags, gay bars and clubs, gay-friendly hotels, and many people from the local gay community. If you are looking for an assortment of restaurants, Vinohrady also has some great options for you to try. It doesn’t matter what you’re interested in, Prague has everything for all types of gay travellers.

Whether you’re looking for a chill night with fancy cocktails, an adventure with tons of gorgeous gay men, or just looking to get to know the locals and have a great time, Prague has a buffet of options for everyone. When I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE! Gay, straight, transgendered, whoever you are, Prague will welcome you with open arms.
Before we book a holiday or a flight, check if we need a holiday visa or a transit visa (if we're not sure), just to have as little as possible unpleasant situation. The best you can check is on your embassy ( the origin of your passport), but other sites will also give you some ideas of how strong your passport is for free visa traveling; please check here.

I hope you have a wonderful time there!

Alberghi

When it comes to gay-friendly hotels or hostels, Prague does not disappoint. The entire city can be considered gay-friendly so you can feel comfortable knowing that wherever you stay, you are safe. I would recommend searching for accommodations in the gay neighbourhood, Vinohrady, or around the Old Town Square. Prague does have two gay hotels, but I will only recommend one. You can find it below. I was warned by many reviewers to avoid the other.

Gay Clubs:

1. OMG Party @ Mecca

2. Friends
